Meredith Salenger
Salenger has a family in Malibu. As a child she enjoyed being a performer in front of loved ones and relatives. As young as eight years old the mother of her child took her to her first class in acting. Salenger played a small role in the film as "a singing and dancing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger performed a number of television commercials. Salenger was the first actress to play the lead role in The Journey of Natty Gann, a Disney movie starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. The film was the first US film to earn the Gold Award from the Moscow Film Festival. Additionally, she was awarded "Best Female actor in a dramatic" at the Youth in Film Awards in the recognition of her character as the sexy Natty. When she was 18 she was cast in another four films, one of which was A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. Then she moved to Harvard in order to pursue her studies.
