Yael Stein was born in Australian and lives in New York City since 2013 She played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a degree from NIDA. Yael enjoyed the privilege to work with some of Australia's most renowned storytellers. She has worked behind-the-scenes in television, film and theatre. Yael has a successful career working in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was able to find a new home within New York City when the production premiered to acclaim in the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael was co-founder at The Cannery. The Cannery is The Cannery, a Bushwick Brooklyn studio The Cannery encourages new and artistic writings, and are a source of inspiration for new concepts.
